Buoyancy Compensators

Buoyancy Compensation Devices (BCD's) are used to help the diver maintain buoyancy while underwater. The BCD can have air added to it or released from it to help the diver maintain their buoyancy based upon their size, weight, and water depth. In addition BCD's provide a means to attach oxygen tanks, lights, knives, and other dive accessories to keep them out of the way, but within easy reach for the diver. BCD's are available in jacket style or vest style.

You should look for a good fit and the proper amount straps to attach the gear you normally carry with you on each dive. The fit should be snug but not too tight.
